At 2,300 metres the air is thin and a helicopter's performance drops: the useful load you carry in the valley is not the load you carry here. By helicopter to the Val Thorens altiport it is 25 minutes from Chambéry, 30 from Annecy, 35 from Grenoble, 40 from Geneva, 45 from Lyon, 15 from Courchevel.
